Our Purpose
Project MMK is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing education in impoverished, rural areas of Andhra Pradesh, India. Our founder, an American citizen, was deeply moved by firsthand experiences of the living conditions endured by children in Tamil Nadu. Understanding the power of collective action, we recognized that by uniting efforts with a local operation in Andhra Pradesh, we could more effectively overcome challenges. This realization prompted the launch of Project MMK. Through collaboration with local operations, facilitated by our funding and support, our aim is to address the hardships faced by these communities, thus bringing attention to their struggles and striving to effect positive change in all our endeavors.
Abhiram's Initiative
ProjectMMK stems from a personal journey that began with a visit to my mother's hometown of Doppalapudi in Andhra Pradesh, India. Seeing firsthand the challenges faced by children in accessing quality education ignited a passion within me to make a difference. Witnessing the disparity in resources and opportunities, I wanted to take action. Drawing from my own experiences and skills, I decided to establish ProjectMMK. Being an established cricket player who's competed in several national tournaments, through my love for the game I started a side job of fixing and preparing cricket bats. Through this and other endeavors, I've figured out a way to fund ProjectMMK. Over the last few months, I've accumulated over 125,000 total Indian rupees to fund this project. This background is the driving force behind ProjectMMK's mission to better education in rural India, ensuring that every student has the chance to thrive and succeed.
